Empower. Connect. Thrive.
Parenting is a tough job. All families need help now and then. Help is available to empower families to choose the support they want, connect to other families and community resources, and thrive.

Family Strengthening Programs
Family Strengthening Programs provide families with access to programs and resources to help children grow into healthy and productive members of their communities.

HEARS Family Line
The HEARS Family Line assists parents and families by providing resources and referrals to a variety of services.
Empower
Programs across the state empower parents to decide if these supports are right for them and to make choices that can strengthen their family. Families can join free, voluntary activities including:
- Family events.
- Supports to help their child grow and develop.
- Support groups.
- Opportunities to share their experiences and skills with others.
- Other resources such as developmental screenings, child care, mental health services, substance use programs, food assistance, and educational programs.
Connect
Programs help parents connect with other families and program staff to:
- Reduce stress.
- Develop a network of supports to help their family thrive.
- Respond to children’s challenging behaviors.
- Know where to find help when needed.
- Boost their child’s well-being – and their own!
